The MasterClass is for classical singers without limitations in terms of nationality or age (it's necessary to be over 18, though), with a good technical control and focuses on Musical Interpretation.
The goal of the Course is to create a synergy and a dialectic between the pupils (both professionals and newcomers) and Maestro Zambelli, who will put at their disposal what he has learnt in a career spanning 35 years, during which he has been honored to work with some of the greatest (Leo Nucci, Gregory Kunde, Teresa Stratas, Samuel Ramey, June Anderson, Luigi Roni, Sumi Jo, Mariella Devia, Giovanna Casolla, Charles Castronovo, Ildebrando d'Arcangelo, Nino Machaidze, Rolando Villazon, Francesco Meli, etc.).
The Maestro has always been passionate about "voci" and "vocalità" and, all his career long, has shown a deep respect for the singers and their delicate instrument, sensing the inevitable two-way relationship between sound production and interpretation.
The Masterclass will take place in Cairo Montenotte, a very quiet spot on the hills behind Savona, an ideal place to welcome pupils for a period of "full immersion" and will take place only if a minimum quota of 10 pupils will be reached.
The Course will have an overall duration of 5 days during which each active participant will have a daily slot of 40 minutes, where he will be able to work with the Maestro arias and/or full Operatic roles of his own choice (this must be communicated during the application process); each pupil will also be allowed to follow the lessons of all the others.
It will be possible, also, to apply as "auditors"; they will be allowed to listen to all the lessons.
During the Course, one day will be more specifically oriented to the analysis of the technical-vocal aspects, with the leading Tenor Charles Castronovo, who will give the pupils precious suggestions and hints on how to develop and preserve their instrument. Also in this case, the pupils will have at their disposal 40 minutes of individual coaching.
At the end of the Masterclass, the Artistic Direction will give the pupils who will be judged "ready" the possibility to showcase themselves in a Concert where important professionals of the Operatic business (agents, critics, ADs or Artistic Administrators of Theaters and Festivals) will be invited.
